Lamcat is a Hong Kong multidisciplinary visual artist. Her work is grounded in community observation, place-based research, and daily documentation, constructing visual worlds that exists between reality, memory, and imagination. She has created three original characters, including the white cat "Catriel", the golden cat "Lamcat", and the bunny "X", as narrative protagonists.

 

Her work explores the relationship between art, time, and the self, reflecting on impermanence and the evolving nature of human experience. Working across map-based work, digital painting, pen-and-ink linework, and gongbi painting, she investigates how artistic practice can respond to the passage of time while questioning the nature of art itself.

 

Lamcat received a First Class Honours Double Bachelor's Degree in “Creative Arts and Culture” and “Visual Arts Education” from The Education University of Hong Kong, where she was also awarded the Artistic Excellence Award. In 2026, she participated in an artist residency in Shanghai, where she began developing her own map coordinate system: Space, Time, People (STP).
